Karnes City Health and Rehabilitation Center provides optimum care using individualized treatment plans tailored to meet each unique resident's needs.

Our environment is designed to allow residents to feel at home. You will relax and socialize with familiar friends while making new ones, and enjoy the stimulating community life we have created with your satisfaction in mind.

Dietary		Community Life
Our dietary department is wonderful at meeting nutritional needs and providing pleasurable dining experiences. We serve three meals per day, and snacks are available at any time upon request. If you have special dietary needs, our dietician will review your dietary requirements and assure those needs are met. Salon and Spa Our beauty salon and barber shop is open each Monday, offering cuts, styles, perms and color services by our registered beautician. Our spa is open daily, offering a variety of services including manicures, pedicures, and relaxing massages by our certified massage therapist. Pets Our 5-year-old mixed tabby, Miss Kitty, is a favorite of residents and visitors. And she sure knows how to please a camera! Residents also enjoy our beautiful aquarium full of interesting fish - two siclets, two catfish and two algae eaters.		We provide a variety of activities and events geared toward residents' personal interests.  We visit with our residents to discover their areas of interest and get to know them better. One of the goals of our community is to nurture meaningful and diverse lifestyles; our team is committed to doing this in every way we can.   Making tamales from scratch.   Playing bingo! Social Services Our social services department is focused on serving our residents from admission to discharge.  We assist in completion of paperwork, and can explain the necessity and meaning of documents such as the Advanced Directive.  We can work with residents and their loved ones to help them make decisions regarding lifestyle and health care, as well as manage communications with community agencies. Resident Council Our Resident Council meets monthly to discuss issues common to all residents and to select the meal of the month. All residents are welcome to participate and help mold the future of Karnes City Rehab and Nursing. Transportation Our 14-passenger bus is used for transporting residents to and from medical appointments and touring excursions around the county.   Housekeeping We provide a clean and comfortable living environment, where residents can focus on their well-being and enjoyment of life. Our friendly housekeeping staff cleans each room daily, and provides deep cleaning services on a monthly basis. Laundry service is provided at no additional cost. We can provide fresh sheets and towels. We aim to exceed our residents' expectations and maintain a home that is always neat, clean, odor-free and well organized.
